This policy is provided in English. Une version française est disponible sur demande. 本页隐私政策以英文提供。
1. Who is responsible
The controller for data processing on this website is Tealogian (sole proprietorship), 1209 Geneva (Petit-Saconnex), Switzerland; you can reach us through the contact form (see the legal notice). We process personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
2. What we collect, and why
- Orders. Your cart is stored only in your own browser (localStorage). When you place an order, you send it to us yourself by email or WhatsApp; we receive the data you include (name, contact details, order, delivery address) and use it to fulfil the order (performance of a contract).
- Tasting sign-ups and contact. Name, email address, seat count and your message, used only to manage your reservation or answer you (performance of a contract / legitimate interest).
- Preferences. Your language choice and cart are kept in your browser's localStorage. These are strictly necessary for the site to work; they are not tracking cookies, never leave your device by themselves, and we cannot read them remotely.
- No analytics. This site uses no analytics, no advertising trackers and no tracking cookies, and does not geolocate you.
3. Service providers who may see data
- Email. Orders and enquiries arrive in our mailbox (currently Google Gmail, Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC, USA).
- WhatsApp. If you choose to order via WhatsApp, your message is processed by WhatsApp / Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. under its own privacy policy.
- Sign-up & contact forms. Our forms are handled by Netlify Forms (Netlify, US-based); submissions are transmitted to our mailbox.
- Fonts. Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts servers, which means your browser discloses your IP address to Google when the page loads.
Some of these providers are located outside Switzerland/the EEA (notably in the USA). Where that is the case, transfers rely on recognised safeguards (e.g. certification under the Swiss–US / EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses).
To show prices in your local currency, your browser asks a geolocation service (ipapi.co) for your country and currency, and a currency service (open.er-api.com) for the daily exchange rate. Your IP address is processed by these services for that single purpose; we do not receive or store it.
4. How long we keep data
We keep your personal data only for as long as we need it to provide our service, then delete it.
5. Your rights
You may request access to, correction or deletion of your personal data, object to its processing, and, under the GDPR, request restriction and data portability, and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Switzerland that is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC); in the EU, your local data protection authority. Contact us through the contact form.
6. No profiling
We carry out no automated decision-making and no profiling.
7. Changes
We may update this policy as the site evolves; the date above reflects the latest revision.
